New scratch ticket offers players a chance to win cash, VIP seats to Globetrotters game in Baltimore

BALTIMORE (December 3, 2025) – The Maryland Lottery is releasing a slam dunk for lottery players and basketball fans alike this winter with the launch of its new $2 Harlem Globetrotters scratch ticket. The ticket launches on December 5 and will be available at Maryland Lottery retailers across the state.

Released on the eve of the team’s 100th Year celebration in 2026, the new tickets feature vintage Harlem Globetrotters designs, including the iconic basketball spinning on a finger, and the chance to win prizes, both instantly and through a second-chance promotion.

“We’re thrilled to bring the excitement of the Harlem Globetrotters to Maryland Lottery players, especially as the team kicks off their 100th year in 2026,” said John Martin, Director of the Maryland Lottery. “These tickets combine the fun of scratch-off games with a beloved entertainment brand that continues to create lifelong memories for America’s families.”

In addition to instant cash wins, players can enter non-winning tickets into the Harlem Globetrotters Promotion through My Lottery Rewards, the lottery’s Second Chance program, for a chance to win additional prizes. Thirty Maryland Lottery winners will each receive VIP ticket packages to a Harlem Globetrotters game at The Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore. The packages include two tickets, food and beverage, and Globetrotter merchandise.

The Harlem Globetrotters $2 ticket is provided to the Lottery under license by EQL Games. “Next year marks 100 years of the Globetrotters being synonymous with fun and entertainment, two of the biggest reasons people play the lottery,” said Brad Cummings, CEO of EQL Games. “We are honored to kick off this nostalgic brand with the Maryland Lottery, bringing the Globetrotters to life through the lottery’s scratch ticket program. Players will have the best of both worlds – a chance to win money and the opportunity to see the Globetrotters.”

One lucky grand prize winner will get a Premium VIP package which includes seats next to players on the bench, an exclusive Globetrotters merchandise package, and a post-game meet and greet and photo-op.
