EQL Labs launches second original game for the Michigan Lottery platform in partnership with the Detroit Lions

LOUISVILLE, KY – August 11, 2025 – EQL Games recently announced the release of a proprietary eInstant game centered around the iconic Detroit Lions NFL brand. This game was commissioned by leading iLottery operator, Michigan State Lottery, in March of this year after reviewing presentations from vendors across the industry.

Detroit Lions End Zone Rush marks another Tier 1 original title out of EQL Labs, the proprietary game division of EQL Games. This follows on the success of a previous hit utilizing branded assets from the Detroit Tigers which was released in April by way of Detroit Tigers Grand Slam.

Building on the widely popular cluster match mechanic, this title puts players in the action with a unique football infused game play style. Players seek to win offensive football player tiles that move the ball toward the end zone for big wins. Bringing the dynamic of the real-life game of football into the eInstant space is just one way EQL Labs is evolving the iLottery content industry, notably with a suite of games they are calling “Tumbler+”.

“At EQL Games, we believe lotteries and their players deserve new, exciting content that competes with the best digital experiences in lottery and beyond,” said EQL Games Founder and CEO Brad Cummings. “The Michigan Lottery’s Detroit Lions Game is another opportunity to bring Michigan players a platform with cutting-edge games unique to Michigan player interests. End Zone Rush offers Detroit Lions fans a game using the marks and logos of their favorite football team and enjoy real football mechanics to win big.”

“I am thrilled to partner with EQL to launch the Detroit Lions End Zone Rush online game,” said Michigan Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “Working with EQL allows us to bring innovative and exciting games to Michiganders while supporting public education in communities throughout the state.”

The Tumbler+ model features an evolved “lock and key” mechanic, where players must unlock playable actions by matching specific symbols–quarterbacks and wide receivers in this case. Additions like running backs and defenders introduce NFL play dynamics, with exciting offensive and defensive strategies built into every reveal.

“We wanted to continue our success of EQL Labs launches for Michigan Lottery by featuring another original concept that captures what players love about iLottery, and what fans love about football,” said VP of Product Shaun Rebello. “The opportunity to offer a Detroit Lions game provided exciting design choices, which truly capture the spirit of the franchise.”

The Lions game follows the launch of EQL Games’ first three titles with Michigan, Pool of Prosperity, Drop It and Detroit Tigers Grand Slam. More games are planned for launch in the coming months.
